THE SOUND GUY

I’m Will Carrière, a Montréal-based sound designer with a background in games, post-production, on-set recording, and live sound.

My background covers the full audio process—from capturing sound on set and recording live performances, to editing, cleanup, mixing, sound design, and implementation. I enjoy working hands-on with audio, solving technical problems, and adapting quickly when things inevitably change.

Game audio is where a lot of these skills come together. I’ve designed and implemented interactive SFX, built responsive audio systems around gameplay, recorded spatial audio, and worked with teams to bring sound from an idea into a working game.

I’ve also worked on short films, theatre productions, contemporary music performances, and live events, giving me experience working both behind a console and in the field.

I studied Sound Design & Production at George Brown College and Music at the University of Toronto, building a foundation that combines technical audio production with a broad musical background.

Basically: record it, design it, fix it, mix it, make it work.
